Policies and Procedures

Policies and Procedures
The following policies and procedures are
effective beginning October 1st, 2008.
(Revised April 15, 2009)

SCHEDULING YOUR APPOINTMENT
*Appointments are available Tuesday through Saturday. We are closed on Sundays and Mondays. After hours appointments are available on Thursdays and Fridays with advanced notice.
On Location and Outdoor Sessions
*On location and outdoor creation fees vary by location, time of year and number of subjects.
*There is a minimum purchase required for these sessions
*The creation fee deposit is taken at the scheduling of the appointment. This holds your appointment time.
*Creation fee is refundable or transferable to a different session with a 48 hour cancellation notice. Creation fee will be retained with less than a 48 hour notice.
*Creation fee is refundable or transferable to another day if your session has to be rescheduled due to poor weather conditions.
* Creation fee is for the time and talent of the photographer and does not apply to your portrait order.
In Studio Sessions
* Creation fees are for the time and talent of the photographer and do not apply to your portrait order
* Creation fee is due the day of your session

YOUR PORTRAIT SESSION
*Please come 10 minutes early if you need to get your child changed at the studio (recommended) or if you think your little one will need to get acclimated to their new environment.
*Your child’s safety is your responsibility--- both in sessions as well as being in the studio in general.
*Please remember that our props are NOT toys. To ensure that our Photography Props are in good condition for your next portrait session, as well as for your child’s safety, please don’t let your children use them as toys.
*Toys are available in the waiting room.
*Schedule time for the unexpected
*Bring a snack for your child
*Too many outfit changes can disrupt a photo session that otherwise is going well- try to narrow down clothing options so we can get the best portraits of your child.
*When possible, avoid bringing siblings that are not being photographed. Distractions can have a very negative effect on a portrait session that under different circumstances would have been a success.
*Try to remember there is no good way to “plan” what will happen in a session. Children can be very unpredictable , and “forcing” something to happen usually doesn’t work.
*Avoid rehearsing “smile” with your child. Making small children aware of their facial expression usually only leads to forced expressions and uncomfortable children.
*Live animal sessions are just that-- LIVE Animal Sessions. Although these occurrences are rare, animals may bite, scratch, or go potty during the session. These situations can’t be predicted-- so if this is not a chance you are willing to take, it may be best for you to opt out of a session with animals. Jeannie Blinson Photography is not responsible for injuries or damages done by any animal during a session. We have plenty of spring/Easter props that can be used in a session that does not include animals.

YOUR PORTRAIT ORDER
*Review of your portraits, and making your selections can be scheduled to be done In-Studio, or your session can be published to the Internet for home review for up to 14 days. Please specify at the time of your sitting which option you would like to use.

Studio Review
Sessions are scheduled for up to 1 ½ hrs. After this time frame, you will have to use the Home Review option (see guidelines below).

* $25.00 of your deposit will apply to your portrait order if you place the order before the gallery expires.
* Republishing cost is $25.00 for 10 additional days of online portrait access.
*Orders must be placed within 45 days of your photo session. All files will be deleted, and the session in it's entirety, will be permanently unavailable if not ordered from within this time frame.
